Medical Electives Applications

Please complete the Medical Elective application form and return it to: The Dean's Office, Mater Misericordiae University Hopital, Eccles Street, Dublin 7, Ireland

We will endeavour to place you with a consultant during dates outlined.

Please note:

• Places are filled on a “first come, first served” basis, therefore forwarding an application does not automatically guarantee placement.
• Recent evidence of Hepatitis B status (i.e. Hep B titre levels or Hep B surface antigen test results) and a letter from your college stating your student status must also be enclosed. This letter must bear the official college stamp and signature of your supervisor/Human Resource Manager..
• Due to the increasing number of visiting medical students it is now Hospital policy to restrict the duration of electives.  Therefore you may apply for a one month period from the months January to May and a two month period from June to August.
• There is an administration and tuition fee of €100 per month; payment must be made to the Medical Council before Elective Student is accepted.
