Description of Service:

The Cardiology Department at the Mater Hospital provides a full range of diagnostic interventional procedures for adult patients with heart disease. Non-invasive facilities include, ECG, Echocardiography, Exercise Testing, Holter Monitoring and a 24hour Blood Pressure Monitoring System. Invasive facilities include Coronary Arteriography, Angioplasty, and Valvuloplasty. This department also provides an 8 bed Coronary Care Unit and a 31 bed Cardiac Ward.
