Description of Service:

The Colorectal Surgical Unit at the Mater Misercordiae Hospital provides a referral service for patient with surgical disorders of the colon, rectum and anus. The unit is staffed with two consultant surgeons with a special interest in colorectal surgery. The Department provides subspecialty expertise in laparoscopic coloertal surgery, surgery for inflammatory bowel disease and pelvic floor disorders including continence disorders.

Two outpstients clinics per week are held on Monday mornings and Thursday afternoons. Operation sessions are on Wednesdays and Fridays.
