Making an appointment

You must have an appointment for an X-ray. To make an appointment, send your X-ray referral letter in to the department and we will then contact you with an appointment date. You can deliver your referral letter by post, fax or in person.

• Post it to the Radiology Department, Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, Eccles Street, Dublin 7.
• Fax it to (01) 803 2970.
• Drop the referral letter in to the reception desk at the Radiology Department (Whitty Wing, Level 2). The reception desk is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.

We will then send you out an appointment letter, which you must bring with you to your appointment.

Walk-in service for chest X-rays and trauma X-rays

We provide a walk-in service for chest X-rays and trauma X-rays. You must have a GP referral letter with you to avail of this service.

Our walk-in service is available during the following hours only:

Mon - Fri:
8.30am - 12.30pm
2.00pm - 4.00pm
