Mission Statement

The Department of Adult Psychiatry aims to provide a comprehensive, holistic, multi-disiplinary psychatric sevice, which respects the dignity of each individual in the context of his or her background, family and culture.

Description of Services

Over the past decades, the Department of Adult Psychiaty at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital has developed one of the busiest, most diverse and progressive psychiatry services in Ireland.

The Department provides a liason psychiaty service, tertiary, professorial service, and a comprehensive adult mental health service to an inner-cty catchment area, in partnership with the Health Service Executive and St. Vincent's Hospital (Fairview).

There are also comprehensive programmes of education and research, in partnership with University College Dublin.
