Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
The MRI provides detailed three-dimensional pictures of the internal organs.
The MRI involves lying in a short tunnel which provides a cylindrical magnet. The scan is painless but you need to lie still while the scan is been completed. It normally takes around 45 minutes to complete a detailed study. MRI is not suitable for people with pacemakers or AICD's as it interferes with the programming of the system .
