Coronary artery bypass surgery
This surgery will be recommended in cases of severe blockages or if life is at risk where medicines or angioplasty/stenting are not appropriate. This surgery is a very effective way of increasing the blood supply to the heart muscle. This operation entails taking a piece of vein from your leg or artery from your chest and using it to "bypass" the section of your coronary artery that is most affected.
