Biography
Dr Claire Kenny is a consultant in Infectious Diseases and Acute Medicine. She graduated from University College Dublin in 2014. In 2007 she was awarded a PhD by University College Dublin for her work on the host transcriptional response to infection with Candida glabrata. She then undertook a three year research fellowship in Trinity College Dublin focusing on Aspergillus fumigatus infection in patients with haematological malignancies. Dr Kenny also works within the Acute Medical Service in the Mater Hospital. Her special interests include bone and joint infections, OPAT and trauma related infections.
