Fellowship in Quality Improvement (QI) in Eye Emergency care and Ophthalmic Surgery
 
Fellowship Details:

ICO & NDTP are now seeking applications from suitable candidates for the Aspire Fellowship in Quality Improvement (QI) in Eye Emergency Care and Ophthalmic Surgery.

The ASPIRE fellowships are a programme of highly prestigious fully-funded post-CCST Fellowship training opportunities that provide a candidate with a structured certifiable educational experience.
This Fellowship is designed to equip a post CCST ophthalmic surgical trainee with the skills, knowledge and experience that will enable them to function as a front-line quality improvement leader in Eye Emergency Care in the Irish healthcare system. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to visit leading Eye Emergency Care centres abroad to observe healthcare quality improvement in other ophthalmic healthcare systems.
 
The NDTP Aspire (Post CSCST) Fellowship award will provide funding for a Fellow to commence in July 2018 and will receive:
• SpR Salary (€73,980) and headcount for the duration of the fellowship
• Eligibility to access the Higher Specialist Training Fund during the fellowship
• Formal recognition of achievement following completion of the fellowship from ICO
• A high quality fellowship experience in Ireland that will improve competitiveness for positions within Ireland.

Available to doctors who have obtained CCST and are within two years of post CCST*.  Applications for this Fellowship will be accepted from surgical trainees in Ophthalmic Surgery.
