Biography

Dr Deirdre Brady graduated from medicine at the University of Dublin, Trinity College in 2005. Following completing general professional training and membership of the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland in 2009, she commenced higher specialist training in Clinical Microbiology and achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists (FRCPath) in Medical Microbiology and completion of specialist training in 2015. Dr Brady was appointed to the Mater hospital in 2016. Her special interest is diagnosis, management and prevention of healthcare associated infections. She participates in all aspects of hospital infection prevention and control. Dr Brady is an executive member of the Irish Society of Clinical Microbiologists.
