Biography

Dr Vinny Ramiah graduated in 2002 from Trinity College Dublin and underwent emergency medicine core training in Beaumont Hospital, including training in ICU/Anaesthesia both in Ireland and St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney, Australia.  He completed his membership of the college of physicians in 2008.  He subsequently completed higher specialist Emergency medicine training in Ireland and fellowship by examination of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine in 2013 for which he achieved the William Rutherford citation for excellence in the FRCEM examination.  He was appointed as consultant in Emergency Medicine in St Vincent’s University Hospital in 2014.  Dr Ramiah commenced his post at the Mater University Hospital in 2015.  He is a trainer for Advanced Trauma Life Support,  Emergency medicine ultrasound and an examiner for the RCEM since 2015. His Specialist interests include Geriatric Emergency Medicine and point of care ultrasound in emergency medicine
