Introduction to Hospital Life Programme

The Mater Misericordiae University Hospital hosts an Introduction to Hospital Life programme for Transition year/5th year students who aspire to gain an insight into the workings of a hospital environment.

About

Through a variety of informational and interactive activities students gain insight into various aspects of hospital life. The emphasis will be on the range of professions within the hospital setting and showcase the diversity and wide ranging career potential within the hospital. The programme ensures that student visiting the hospital will be supported and supervised.

Please submit a completed application form to marymccarthy@mater.ie to be considered for this programme. Please note that a shortlisting criteria is used and unfortunately due to the anticipated interest in this programme, not all students will be guaranteed a place.

Students will be notified of the outcome once all applications have been reviewed.

We are no longer accepting applications for the IHL programme. Further information and dates for the 2024/2025 year will be released in August 2024.
