Job Desciption:

The Medical Laboratory Assistant is required to support the preparation of specimens for analysis or referral to other institutions, and undertake other responsibilities which may be allocated by the designated supervisor. The Medical Laboratory Assistant will be required to perform their work to the highest professional standards, as determined by the Laboratory Management Team. 

The extent and speed of change in the delivery of healthcare is such that adaptability is essential in this position. The Medical Laboratory Assistant will be required to maintain and enhance their knowledge, skills and aptitudes necessary to respond to a evolving work environment.

The Pathology Department is accredited to ISO: 15189 by the Irish National Accreditation Board (INAB).
