If you have a minor injury, the Mater Smithfield Rapid Injury Clinic offers you fast assessment and treatment. You don’t need an appointment or a GP referral. Hospital charges are the same as the main Emergency Department.

What to expect at the clinic

You will be treated by Mater Hospital nurses and doctors who specialise in emergency care. The clinic and its staff can access all of the Mater Hospital’s services. When you arrive at the clinic, you will be registered and then seen by an advanced nurse practitioner or a doctor. You may be referred for X-rays if necessary.
