Liaison Psychiatry

The liaison psychiatry service, under the direction of Dr. John Sheehan, provides psychiatric services to the , outpatient clinics, and medical and surgical wards. 

There are also specialist clinics for Neuropsychiatry, Psycho-Oncology, Chronic Pain and heart and lung transplant patients.  It is a multidisciplinary service with medical, nursing, alcohol counselling, psychological and secretarial inputs.

Referral Process

Referrals are accepted from the medical and surgical teams in the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital and from the Emergency Department.
