 Description:  

The unit is Ireland's main tertiary referral centre for treatment and management of the following:

  1. Acute heart attack
  2. Unstable chest pains
  3. Complex angioplasties / cardiac procedures not requiring open heart surgery
  4. Acute and chronic heart failure
  5. Heart transplant assessment and work-up
  6. Unstable and complex heart rhythms
  7. Adult congenital heart conditions
  8. Other unusual cardiac / vascular conditions
Visiting Arrangements
 Visiting Times:  As per hospital policy and when permission is granted by Nurse Manager or his deputy
 Visiting Restrictions:  
  • No fresh flowers
  • No children under 14, except in special circumstances
