Biography
Dr Deirdre Edgeworth graduated from University College Cork in 2008.
Following completion of basic specialist training in medicine and a research fellowship in respiratory medicine at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, she commenced training in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine with the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland in 2015.
Dr Edgeworth obtained the Fellowship of the Joint Faculty of Intensive Care of Ireland in 2018 and CSCST in Anaesthesiology in 2021. She subsequently completed a fellowship in Critical Care Echocardiography at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and obtained accreditation in echocardiography with the British Society of Echocardiography.m She commenced her role as Consultant Intensivist and Anaesthesiologist at the Mater Hospital in 2023. Special Interests: Critical Care Echocardiography, High risk Anaesthesia.
