Our sexually transmitted infection (STI) clinic provides screening and treatment for all STIs. All services are confidential and free of charge.
You don’t need a referral letter for this clinic. However, you do need to make an appointment. Please call us on 01 803 2063 to make your appointment. If you need an urgent appointment outside of normal clinic hours, you should go to the main Emergency Department.
If you need to cancel or change your appointment, please call us as soon as possible.
When you come in to the clinic, please take a number from the ticket machine and take a seat. We will then call you to the reception desk and register you.
Once you are registered, you can take a seat in the waiting area. The doctor will then come and bring you into the clinic.
The doctor will take your history and carry out a medical examination and routine STI testing – this involves blood tests and a swab. You will be given an appointment to come back to the clinic for your results. This appointment is usually about two weeks later. If you need treatment, the doctor will arrange this for you, and it will be free of charge.
