Biography

Dr. Storan MB. BCh. BAO, MRCPI, Dip Clin Ed., is a graduate of NUI, Galway and completed his Basic Specialist Training in Galway University Hospital and was awarded membership with the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. He undertook further training in Internal Medicine and Dermatology during residency at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, and has published his clinical research during his time there.

He completed Higher Specialist Training in Dermatology through the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. He completed his fellowship in Adult Inflammatory Dermatology at the renowned St. John’s Institute of Dermatology at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital in London, before working as a consultant at St John’s Institute of Dermatology in the adult eczema and psoriasis clinics, lupus clinic, immunobullous disease clinic and skin cancer screening clinic.

He acted as lead for dermatology undergraduate studies and tutor for the Master’s in Dermatology at King’s College London. He is a member of numerous international dermatology societies, including the Irish Association of Dermatologists, the British Association of Dermatologists, the British Medical Dermatology Society, and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology. He serves on the scientific committee of the Irish Association of Dermatologists. He has presented at numerous international meetings including the American Academy of Dermatologists, the British Association of Dermatologists, the European Academy of Dermatologists and Venereologists, the Mayo Clinic Research Symposium and the Irish Association of Dermatologists.

He returned to Ireland to take up his post as Consultant Dermatologist at the Mater Hospital in April 2019.
