Dr. Doherty graduated from University College Dublin in 2004. She completed basic specialist training on the Eastern Regional Anaesthesia Training Scheme and subsequent higher specialist training in anaesthesia, intensive care and pain medicine on the CAI Specialist Registrar training scheme. She then undertook fellowship training in Cardiothoracic anaesthesia and Critical Care Medicine in Toronto, Canada and in 2016 was appointed as a Consultant at MMUH.
