Biography

Dr Hastings graduated from NUI Galway in 2003. After completing basic specialist training in medicine she commenced training in anaesthesiology and intensive care medicine with the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland in 2006. She was awarded Fellowship of the Joint Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine in Ireland in 2012 and her CSCST in Anaesthesiology in 2013. She subsequently moved to Melbourne where she worked in the intensive care unit of The Alfred Hospital from 2013 to 2016 and was awarded Fellowship of the College of Intensive Care Medicine Australia and New Zealand in 2017. She was appointed in her current role as consultant anaesthesiologist and intensivist in the Mater Hospital in 2017.
