Biography

Aisling studied medicine at University College Dublin where she graduated with honors in 2006. She completed her basic surgical training which was followed by her Doctorate of Medicine by Research. She completed the Higher Surgical Training Scheme in Cardiothoracic Surgery in 2017. She completed fellowships in cardiothoracic surgery, heart and lung transplantation at Toronto General Hospital. She was appointed as a consultant cardiothoracic surgeon with a special interest in heart and lung transplantation at the MMUH in 2020.​
