Biography

Ms Brannigan is a graduate of UCD 1993 (Hons). She completed Higher Surgical Training Scheme in RCSI. She completed her colorectal fellowship in the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA and was colorectal fellow of the year in 2003.

Ms Brannigan was winner of the ASGBI Laparoscopic traveling fellowship in 2004. She completed a fellowship in Mac Master University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada 2004 and in Gasthuisberg University, Leuven, Belgium 2005.

Ms Brannigan was appointed to the Mater Hospital in June 2004. She has 9 sessions in the Mater Hospital and, two sessions in the Rotunda Hospital. She was appointed at the advent of laparoscopic colorectal surgery and appointed to establish the service. She set up a perineal clinic in 2005 to deal with pelvic floor dysfunction.

Interests Colorectal cancer, recurrent rectal cancer, pelvic floor dysfunction, inflammatory bowel disease.
